500 employees across 7 countries worked simultaneously for 24-hour in a race to design software and hardware solutions aimed to innovate McDonald's globally. Employees from McDonald's, Capgemini, Dynamic Yield, Sapient, and Cognizant worked in collaboration to achieve this.
It’s very possible that some Hackathon solutions will turn into real-life projects at McDonald’s, Daniel Henry says. Judging by the energy and enthusiasm of this year’s participants, the Hackathon represented a chance to foster a culture of innovation, and is a key element to making McDonald’s a place people want to work.
